SUMMARY:
Isolated from the world and ignorant of Pearl Harbor's destruction, natives on Hawaii’s “Forbidden Isle” of Niihau naively welcome a Japanese fighter pilot who crashed in their midst.  Aiming to capture Hawaii for the Emperor in the fragile days that follow, the pilot preys on Japanese-Americans living among the peaceful villagers .

But when a crafty Hawaiian cowboy and his fearless wife stand up to the pilot’s growing brutality, all of Niihau rises up to defend itself against the invader, an claim America's first official victory of World War II.

But in Washington, the fateful but concealed events on a tiny island half a world away catapulted America into one of the darkest chapters in its history.  A quarter million U.S. citizens were moved to internment camps because The Nihauu Incident proved to them that Japanese-Americans couldn't be trusted during the War.
